Ivy Fertility acquires California-based practice

Ivy Fertility has acquired the Mountain View fertility practice NOVA IVF to expand reproductive health services across California.

NOVA IVF, a California-based fertility and IVF clinic led by Dr Richard Schmidt and Dr Meera Shah, provides services including treatment for unexplained infertility, male infertility, tubal infertility, endometriosis infertility, and implantation issues.

In addition to IVF treatments, it also offers egg donation and egg freezing services, oocyte donation combined with gestational surrogacy, and preimplantation genetic testing.

By partnering with Ivy Fertility, the Mountain View practice aims to expand its offerings and help more people conceive.

While first-rate fertility clinics can be found throughout the US, California has been described as “a hotbed” for advancements in the field both for American families and for an ever-­growing wave of families from abroad.

According to CDC, a total of 489 fertility clinics in the US performed assisted reproductive technology procedures in 2019. California was the state with the largest numbers of fertility clinics, followed by New York and Texas.
