Pinky Promise raises US$1m pre-seed funding

Pinky Promise, a Mumbai-based digital clinic for women’s health, has raised US$1m in pre-seed funding.

Pinky Promise runs a mobile app offering AI-assisted consultations with gynaecologists, with prices from Rs 99 (about US$1.15).

It covers over 320 symptoms and conditions including menstrual health, urinary tract infections, fertility, pregnancy and PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome, a hormonal disorder affecting cycles and fertility).

The company says it has provided care to more than 350,000 women and has about 40,000 paying customers across India.

The investment will fund expansion of integrated care services, the rollout of physical clinics and growth of its nutritional supplements range.

The round was led by Rebalance Angel Community, with participation from Subramanian Ramadorai, former chief executive of Tata Consultancy Services, and Mala Ramadorai.
