Fertifa agrees to acquire hormonal health specialist Tuune

Fertifa has agreed to acquire women’s health technology company Tuune, expanding its employee healthcare services into personalised hormonal care.
Tuune develops regulated clinical software that assesses more than 70 symptoms alongside an individual’s medical history to support clinical decisions about contraception and menopause.
The deal continues Fertifa’s expansion beyond its original focus on fertility benefits.
Founded in 2019, the company has broadened its services to include mental health, neurodiversity, weight management and infant care.
Its clients have included Meta, Sony Music, H&M, Lululemon, Space NK and Virgin Group.
Shardi Nahavandi, founder of Tuune, said: “Tuune has always been about helping women feel understood and receive care that reflects their individual needs.
“We’ve built technology that brings scientific evidence and a detailed understanding of each woman together.
“I’m proud that Fertifa will take this work forward and help bring it to more people.”
The acquisition follows Fertifa’s purchase of reproductive health insurance provider Juniper last year.
Fertifa is led by Eileen Burbidge, a former partner at venture capital firm Passion Capital who recently launched an early-stage investment firm, NFG Ventures.
Burbidge said: “Fertifa and Tuune have always shared a commitment to making personalised, evidence-based healthcare more accessible.
“This acquisition takes us another step forward in that mission and at an exciting time, as the Fertifa team continues to expand to cover more underserved healthcare needs for employees.”
Fertifa raised £5m several years ago from investors including Notion Capital, Triple Point Ventures and Speedinvest.
That followed an earlier pre-seed funding round led by Passion Capital.
The proposed acquisition comes amid growing corporate demand for fertility and sexual health benefits for employees.
