Nayara raises funding for AI breast cancer support

Nayara has raised pre-seed funding to expand its AI patient support platform, designed to help people manage their healthcare needs between clinical appointments.
The UK-based healthtech company develops AI-powered companions for hospitals, healthcare systems and medical technology companies.
Its technology answers routine questions, provides personalised guidance and emotional support, and proactively checks in with patients.
The platform also identifies concerns requiring clinical attention and directs them to the appropriate healthcare teams.
Nayara aims to reduce administrative workloads by handling routine enquiries while giving clinicians better visibility of patients’ needs between appointments.
The technology is already being used across clinical pathways, including oncology, where an AI companion for breast cancer patients has supported hundreds of people.
Gal Moore, co-founder and chief executive of Nayara, said advances in medical technology had expanded the possibilities of healthcare, but patient support had not developed at the same pace.
Moore said: “We started Nayara with a simple belief: no patient should feel alone in their healthcare journey. No warning sign should go unaddressed because the clinical team lacked the information, or the time, to act.”
The company’s approach draws on input from medical professionals, patients, people who have supported loved ones through illness and AI engineers.
These perspectives inform the development of its platform, which is intended to address patients’ needs while helping healthcare teams prioritise follow-up care.
The pre-seed investment round was led by SFC Capital, an early-stage investor in the UK.
Nayara plans to use the funding to accelerate product development, support clinical validation and expand its commercial activities.
