The search is on for Femtech World’s Research Project of the Year.
The inaugural Femtech World Awards will celebrate the organisations and entrepreneurs driving research and innovation in women’s health.
Women make up half the world’s population. Yet, their health needs have lagged in medical research.
According to Forbes, women’s health accounts for only four per cent of the overall funding for research and development for healthcare products and services, with the majority of spending focusing on male-specific research.
The Femtech World Research Project Award will shine a light on the individuals committed to accelerating research in women’s health and working towards closing the gender research gap.
Sponsored by Toronto-based Future Fertility, the award is one of 10 categories open for entry in the Femtech World Awards, which seek to support the next wave of innovation in women’s health.
Christy Prada, CEO of Future Fertility, said: “We’re proud to be an inaugural sponsor of Femtech World’s Research Project Award to elevate the remarkable scientific efforts that are driving positive change across the women’s health spectrum.
“At Future Fertility, we value a science-led approach, so we’re excited to recognize the leaders behind these groundbreaking projects.
“Research drives innovation, and it’s great that Femtech World is helping to raise the profile of this important work in an underfunded space.”
