AI decision support platform launches in 10 US fertility clinics
The solution aims to take a holistic approach to fertility and help improve IVF success rates

An AI-based decision support platform has launched in 10 fertility clinics across the US in a bid to boost IVF success.
Fertilane, a technology developed by the healthcare company FertilAI, has been shown to increase the average cycle yield by 30 per cent and deliver eight per cent growth in clinical pregnancy rates.
The platform uses algorithms based on analyses of data points from more than 100,000 patients. According to its developers, reproductive endocrinologists can use it to personalise clinical treatment and improve IVF outcomes.
The clinics’ management teams can also use the patient-based insights to improve operational efficiency, such as streamlining operating room scheduling based on forecasted optimal treatment days.
The accompanying app, FertilAI claims, aims to improve the efficiency and clarity of clinic-patient communications.
“Every patient responds differently to fertility treatment,” said Rohi Hourvitz, co-founder and CEO of FertilAI.
“However, after analysing treatment cycles and outcomes from over 100,000 patients, we were able to learn patterns even on the most uncommon of cases, enabling us to provide physicians with accurate predictions and recommendations during every step of the treatment process.”
Hourvitz said FertilAI’s mission is to guide physicians to make the best treatment decisions for patients, ease the patient journey and help improve the success rate of fertility treatments.
“Our data-driven approach complements standard operating procedures and strengthens the standard process of care, making it easier to better manage staffing, facility utilisation and surgical scheduling and improve the balance of workloads and workflow using clinic- and patient-focused insights,” he explained.
“In addition, our app is there to improve communications among the physician, patient and clinic team, ensuring patients are fully informed every step of the way.”
