Skincare brand Elemis has partnered with beauty tech company Perfect Corp to introduce a new technology to help customers find their ideal skincare regimen.
Elemis will use Perfect Corp’s AI skin diagnostic technology to provide customers with a detailed skin assessment and match them with the best skincare product regimen for their needs.
First, women will need to complete a questionnaire to provide information on their top skin concerns, goals and formula preferences. Then, they will receive a virtual skin scan that will help the algorithm provide them with an overall skin score and identify any skin concerns.
Based on the results, they will be matched with a targeted skincare product regimen to address their core concerns. The technology will also allow them to access product education and recommendations for more common concerns such as wrinkles, firmness, redness and dark spots.
“It was important for Elemis to enable a truly personalised experience for our consumers,” said Stevie Journey, senior director of omnichannel digital experience at Elemis.
“We offer the perfect must-have regimen based on the skin analysis, but if a consumer has a particular concern, such as pores or redness, they can tap their concern to get a truly targeted regimen. The consumer is in control of the skincare regimen recommended to them.”
Alice Chang, Perfect Corp founder and CEO, said: “For today’s beauty and skincare consumers, custom recommendations and product education are top priorities.
“AI technology is an essential tool to provide customers with personalised skincare consultations at scale. We are thrilled to partner with Elemis on the launch of their AI skin experience and know that this integration will help to greatly enhance the retail journey for their customers.”
The AI skin tool will be a mobile-only experience launching in the UK and US, with plans to expand globally in the coming months.
