Femtech World reveals Maternity Innovation shortlist

Six companies have been shortlisted for the Femtech World Maternity Innovation award, sponsored by Femtech Tokyo. Check them out below. 

Femtech Tokyo is a show that celebrates women’s health and empowerment of all ages.

The event brings together importers, retailers, manufacturers, local governments and medical institutions to raise awareness of women’s health issues. 

The team will judge the four submissions for the Maternity Innovation category, with the winner announced at a virtual ceremony on May 2.

Momsanity is an app that supports women in dealing with postpartum depression (PPD), a condition affecting one in five new mothers. The app recognises each mother’s unique journey, providing women with personalised, evidence-based support.

TeleScan is on a mission to increase access and improve maternal outcomes with telesonography. The company’s software connects providers with remote perinatal sonographers to identify high-risk pregnancies, intervene early and improve outcomes.

Malaica is an online support platform for mums-to-be. Inspired by Africa’s high maternal mortality rates, Malaica supports women on their pregnancy journey, connecting them with OB/GYNs, nurses, midwives and support groups.

HeraCARE is a comprehensive, digital end-to-end pregnancy care platform. The company enables care providers to seamlessly connect and deliver personalised and proactive care by remotely monitoring their pregnant patients in a variety of ways.

Developed out of BioInnovate Ireland, Nua Surgical is a company dedicated to innovating in women’s health. The team are currently pursuing solutions to unmet clinical needs in obstetric surgery.
