Jasmine Tagesson is the COO and co-founder of hormona, a data-driven women’s health company targeting hormonal imbalances with the help of AI and at-home testing.

What is your morning routine?

I’m more of a night owl than an early bird so my mornings are not that exciting but I always start off my day with checking in on our community in the app making sure I reply to any messages that might have come in there and then I like to tackle my emails so I’m up to speed before the day really starts.

Which technology could you not live without?

Hmm, good question… I’d say the internet- to be able to have an answer to any question you can think of or find anything you might be looking for immediately is just so convenient. It is also super helpful when you are an early stage start-up!

How do you relax?

Working out is my favourite way of switching off from work on focusing on myself. I’m also an avid reader and go through multiple audio books per week as a way to relax.

Which quote resonates with you?

“You become what you believe” – Oprah Winfrey

What is the best thing about your job?

Other than getting to spend every day doing something I’m passionate about and truly love? The possibility to reshape the future of women’s health and improve health outcomes for women everywhere.

What keeps you motivated?

Our mission and the bigger purpose of the hormonal health sector we’re creating.

What is the most important lesson you have learned on your start-up journey?

To never give up. If it was easy everyone would do it so you’ve just got to keep going regardless of what life throws at you.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Everything happens for a reason and although it might be hard to see in that particular moment, life has a funny way of knowing what you actually need and will present you with a better opportunity than the one you thought you had lost.

What is something you wish you could experience again for the first time?

I’m still lucky enough to keep experiencing things for the first time so I don’t know, but maybe I wish I had really taken the time to enjoy the experience while it was happening.

It is so easy to constantly strive to move forward and onto the next thing that sometimes I simply forget to live in the moment.

What is your greatest achievement since establishing your company?

Building a product that women really love and see value in.
