New platform to help women on their menopause journey

Menopause support app balance launches a holistic service in an effort to improve women’s future health.

Balance+ is a newly-launched extension of the original balance app and gives women access to specialists and clinicians in the field, aiming to help them optimise their mental health, nutrition and sleep as well as physical and sexual health.

Designed as the next stage, or in addition to getting treatment, balance+ is a step up for users. The same features included in the original app such as personalised symptom trackers, individualised health report and access to a global community are still available for free.

However, balance+ subscribers will also be able to access expert advice from GPs, menopause and weight loss specialists, nutritionists, yoga teachers and dermatologists through videos, recipes, classes. They will also be able to join monthly live webinars and Q&As with the founder, Dr Louise Newson.

She said: “The launch of balance+ comes at a pivotal time to improve health for perimenopausal and menopausal women. We know that everyone experiencing perimenopause and menopause has different needs and that’s why balance+ takes a holistic and personalised approach which really puts the user in control.

“Working closely with our community to gain valuable insights and feedback has allowed us to make balance+ happen and I thank the community for supporting us with this menopause movement”.

Balance aims to empower women, and trans and non-binary people across the world to take control of their health and bodies, giving individuals the knowledge and tools that allow them to navigate their menopause experience and find what is best for their body.

The company believes that evidence-based information that empowers women and helps to facilitate a quicker diagnosis should always be 100 per cent free. Subscribing to balance+ for additional features will help support this mission and keep the rest of balance app free.
